Background and history.
609 Consulting, LLC was founded in 2007 as a civil engineering consultancy providing multi-disciplinary services to the oil and gas industry. It was established by Barry Venn, PE, who brought 35 years of civil engineering consulting experience across the Rocky Mountain region. Before starting 609, Barry founded and ran Civil Engineering Professionals, Inc. in Casper for more than twenty years.
The firm has grown steadily from that base without changing what it is: a working engineering office, close to its projects, staffed by people who have spent their careers on this ground. 609 is well situated to provide superior, responsive and affordable services within the Rocky Mountain region and beyond.
Who we are.
The 609 team brings more than 100 years of combined experience. We currently run to 58 people across five offices in Wyoming, Colorado and Idaho, covering engineering, survey, GIS and CAD in house so a project rarely has to leave the building.
